I have worked at Weber County Library since 1988, when I was hired to edit The Rough Draft, published by The Friends of the Library. We upgraded the publication, paying writers for original creative writing. We expanded the focus to cover all of Weber County, printing 5,000 copies and distributing across the Wasatch Front.

Partially funded by annul grants from the Utah Arts Council, the Rough Draft thrived and local writers, artists, and non-profit organizations benefited…
